Dulhunty Power is a manufacturer and supplier of quality Electricity Transmission and Distribution products. The company has presence in Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, China and Malaysia. The Dulhunty Power Group of Companies is part of Maclean Power Systems, USA, one of the largest polymeric insulator manufacturers in the world, thus expanding our presence to Europe and the Americas.
The company supplies its own products to both utilities and contractors throughout the world. Via its Thai operations, it also supplies on an OEM basis, fittings and products for numerous European and American companies involved in the electricity transmission and distribution sector.
Apart from manufacturing and selling a large range of its own products, Dulhunty Power also represents a number of other manufacturers, supplying products including glass, porcelain and composite insulators, substation fittings, fault indicators, height meters, tension monitoring systems, switchgear, and corona cameras.
Dulhunty Power (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd began operations towards the end of 2006 and is targeted to be a leader of insulator line fittings and accessories supplier in Malaysia. Dulhunty Power Malaysia is headed by Mr. Lee Tee, who was formerly General Manager of Dulmison Malaysia (Tyco Electronics Energy Division), with over 28 years of experience in the Electricity Supply Industry. In Malaysia, Dulhunty Power is the first to qualify and supply products at 500kV.
Technical Capabilities
The company has an experienced in-house capability with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Modelling (CAM). This capability allows Dulhunty Power to bid full packages of products related to Electric Transmission or Distribution construction projects and to meet irregular project needs. Experienced in-house product research and development team produced a vast range of products including vibration control devices, line fittings in iron, aluminum, fabricated metals, plastics and rubbers.
Production Facilities
The company has production facilities in Thailand, China, Malaysia and Australia. In Bangkok, Dulhunty Power has its main “Helixon” production facility as well as vibration control product manufacture. In Sydney, the company has production facilities dedicated to the assembly of vibration control products. These enable Dulhunty Power to produce all range of electric transmission and distribution line fittings products as well as easy access to international market.
Testing Facilities
Dulhunty Power is capable of conducting mechanical testing for overhead distribution and transmission applications. Dulhunty Power also maintains a fully equipped laboratory to test vibration control products. Dulhunty has its own 30m test span in Thailand and Australia. Dulhunty jointly owns a conductor vibration testing facility with VIPAC (formerly ADI). The 30m conductor test span is used for evaluating the performance of vibration dampers on conductor and can also be used to test self-damping of conductor and fatigue characteristic of conductors. Dulhunty Power Malaysia also operates an independent laboratory, Dulhunty Power (Malaysia) Laboratory which is certified to MS ISO/IEC 17025 by Standards Malaysia.
